Katharine “Kat” Kramer
Katharine “Kat” Kramer is an award-winning actress, producer, and passionate advocate for cinema that inspires change. The daughter of iconic filmmaker Stanley Kramer and actress/producer Karen Sharpe-Kramer, and goddaughter of screen legend Katharine Hepburn, Kat was raised in the heart of Hollywood’s legacy—but she has forged a dynamic path of her own.
Kat is the founder of Kat Kramer’s Films That Change The World, a trailblazing cinema series dedicated to elevating films and documentaries that spotlight critical social issues—from human rights to animal welfare and environmental justice. Her work as both artist and curator reflects her deep commitment to using storytelling as a force for awareness and transformation.
As a performer, Kat has starred in numerous stage productions including The Miracle Worker (as Helen Keller), The Diary of Anne Frank, The Lark, Great Expectations, and The Vagina Monologues. Her solo theatrical work includes four one-woman shows, most recently My Duet With Mick, which debuted at the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival. She is currently developing a new solo project, She’s A Rainbow.
Her screen credits include Turnover (Best Supporting Actress, 2019 LOVE International Film Festival), Mother’s Day Memories, and the Netflix documentary Call Me Kate. She also appears in the upcoming indie feature Rings of the Unpromised, continuing her streak of award-winning performances. Kat is a featured artist in the web series Child of the 70’s and has been involved in independent features such as Fate’s Shadow and Little Fockers.
Beyond performance, Kat is a dedicated advocate. She has reimagined the theme “Bless the Beasts and Children” as an anthem for animal rights and has been honored with the Compassion Award from Braveheart Women. She is the creator of the Hunt For Humanity Award, given to actorvists who use their voice for social impact, and she is launching the #SHEroesForChange podcast and festival to celebrate the next generation of changemakers.
Kat also serves on advisory and founding boards for organizations including the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival, the LA Press Club, the Palm Springs International Comedy Festival, and Hollywood Media Professionals. She continues to develop a number of projects as an actor and producer, using her artistic platform to celebrate diversity, amplify marginalized voices, and promote storytelling with purpose.
